Jesus is a friend of mine.

So word's getting out that we're searching for a lead musician, as we take steps toward developing a new worship gathering (monthly, and then weekly in March).

Check out this video for a little inspiration. That's what we're going for, right? Or not.

I saw this video a few weeks and laughed hilariously all the way through, but seriously why not? Consider the advantages:

1) You'll never be able to find a rhythm guitarist in a Christian church who can gyrate his legs and hips in such a compelling and disturbing fashion.

2) The incredible ability to sing an entire song in couplets.

3)A reminder for those who don't believe in queer theology that "Jesus is a mounty, he always get his man"

4) Finally, because, no matter how ridiculous the song sounds, four weeks from now, you'll find yourself humming "Jesus is a friend of mine" almost compulsively.
